About This Course
The department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences offers MSc by research, on a part-time and full-time basis.
Master's degree programmes are primarily designed to prepare students for the practice of a profession, or to master a subject area as a precursor to doctoral training.
What You'll Learn
Students are required to take three graduate level courses. This provides a graduate level foundation and prepares the student for research work. The courses offered vary year to year, please refer to the programme website for information on the courses. The research works which forms the largest single component culminate to a thesis will be examined.
Student will work under the supervision of an academic staff member whose research interests are in the area proposed by the student.
The research areas in the department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences are as follows:
-Novel Drug Design and Discovery, Biomarkers and Disease Targets
-Innovative Pharmaceutical Product Design, Development and Manufacture
-Quality Assurance, Compliance, Regulatory Science and Pharmacovigilance of Health Products
-Preclinical and Clinical pharmacokinetics, Pharmacogenomics / Genetics
-Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmacy Practice, Medication Management, Patient Compliance and Outcomes
