About This Course
The learners will acquire the knowledge and understanding of development that uses all the major techniques from UML 2.0. It follows an iterative and incremental approach based on the industry-standard Unified Process. It places systems analysis and design in the context of the whole systems life cycle, and includes generic analysis and design issues.

1. Define components and requirements of a software design blueprint and create it based on a broad design concept, and business and user requirements. (K1, A1)
2. Define and recommend the appropriate software design standards, methods and tools - and their pros, cons and applications for the design of software, in line with the organisation’s practice and design principles. (K2, A2)
3. Define the requirements of functional specifications of software and design them to address business and user needs. (K3, A3)
4. Define the impact of different software design elements on overall software operations, usability, functionality, interoperability, efficiency and costs and evaluate their trade offs from their incorporation. (K4, A4)
5. Produce and review design documentations produced for complex software. (A5, A6)
