About This Course
This course introduces students to the fundamental concepts of statics and mechanics of materials and their applications to engineering problems. The topics introduce the fundamentals of structural mechanics, material behaviour and failure models to appreciate the use of materials. Both Mechanics of rigid body and deformable body are covered. The learners apply the skills in his/her work through statics check to ensure that the structures are in equilibrium and not moving beyond the safe limit.
