Creative Outdoor Learning Experiences for 3 and 4 Year Olds (Chinese) (编制 3 岁和 4 岁幼儿创意性的户外学习活动)
About This Course
The 2-day workshop will introduce learners to creative ways of integrating outdoor learning activities within their preschool programmes. Incorporating a reflective and hands-on approach in its delivery, the workshop will encourage learners to apply theories and key principles to design, plan and facilitate engaging outdoor learning experiences appropriate for 3-and 4-year-olds. To facilitate children’s
learning and development in the outdoors, learners will explore strategies and ways of using open-ended materials effectively to engage children in play. Learners will also learn how to conduct a benefit-risk assessment and explore risk management strategies to mitigate the risks and maximise benefits/opportunities.
What You'll Learn
1. Reflect on educators’ and children’s dispositions, values, attitudes towards outdoor learning.
2. Demonstrate their understanding of the benefits of outdoors for children’s learning and development by designing and facilitating stimulating outdoor experiences for children aged 3 and 4 years old.
3. Develop strategies that enable children’s meaningful participation in creative outdoor learning experiences.
4. Build educators’ capacity to facilitate outdoor learning experiences to extend children’s learning.
5. Conduct a benefit-risk assessment and explore risk management strategies

ECDA-certified as L1 or L2 teachers.
