Learners will be able to apply key principles of Early Intervention and transdisciplinary practices and approaches independently.
1. Describe the Principles & Benefits of early intervention
2. Apply intervention strategies for teaching and managing the disabilities
3. Define approaches to supporting the inclusion of children with special needs and managing challenging behaviours
4. Integrate professional inputs from different disciplines into teaching and managing children with special needs
5. Engage in collaborative practice with professionals and families
6. Identify assistive tools in interventions
7. Monitor the progress to achieve the functional outcomes

Entry Requirements
GCE ‘N’ Level
Demonstrate English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills at a proficiency level not lower than the ES WSQ Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 4
Assumed Attitude, Skills and Knowledge
Positive attitude towards learning and ability to communicate with team members effectively
Willingness to help children with special needs
No Prior work experience is required
Potential learners who do not possess the assumed knowledge and skills should not be precluded from the training. They will be considered on a case-by-case basis
