About This Course
To prepare and equip learners working with seniors from the social service sector and potential entrants to this sector with the knowledge and skills to manage challenging behaviours of seniors and how to minimise unwelcome conflicts.
What You'll Learn
Identify the signs, stages and causes of challenging behaviours of seniors. Analyse key issues including social, psychological and cultural differences to objectively comprehend the conflicts and experienced with seniors. Examine personal roles and bias while interacting with challenging seniors. Review collaborative relationships with team members to minimise conflicts. Respect individual viewpoints and apply conflict management techniques effectively to diffuse tensions and achieve resolutions. Record observations and responses on challenging behaviours of seniors for proper follow-up.
Entry Requirements
No formal prerequisites. Learners should be able to read, write and communicate in Mandarin sufficiently to participate in class discussions, complete course activities, and undertake any required assessments.
