About This Course
To equip participants with knowledge and skills of a befriender in order to communicate and interact with elderly who requires social support in the community.
What You'll Learn
This workshop equips participants with befriending skills to communicate, engage and interact with the elderly in the community. Participants will be able to (a) carry out the role of a befriender (b) provide emotional support and use effective communication skills (c) conduct home visits with simple activities (d) manage the situation and escalation process and (e) provide basic information about community resources.
