About This Course

Design thinking, with an emphasis on Human-centered Design, has now become a must-know tool for companies aspiring to grow and flourish through continuous innovation. This course introduces learners to the key principles of design thinking through application to relevant case studies and hands-on exercises utilizing Generative AI. It is also crucial for learners to appreciate the core technical aspects of blockchain, especially when it promises to disrupt the current business landscape through consensus-driven decentralisation of the traditional computing fabric. Concepts of blockchain will be discussed in this course, examining blockchain using cases and challenges related to its implementation. Furthermore, the course critically examines the ethical and security challenges of deploying Artificial Intelligence, equipping learners to identify and mitigate risks such as algorithmic bias and AI hallucinations. As this micro-credential course is only offered in the FlexiMasters in Business and Financial Analytics programme, learners are required to enrol into the programme and complete all required courses within this programme.
