The use of social media as an extension marketing channel allows real estate salesperson to connect with clients and further their competitive advantage. Social media marketing enhances customer engagements.
A huge percentage (70%) of real estate agents are in their 40s, who did not grow up in the internet age. They have been upskilling themselves with the SkillsFuture for Digital Workplace and have gone through some basic digital skills courses. To continuously upskill the older agents and help them stay relevant in marketing especially in the digital world, there is a need to help them develop and implement social media plans to reach out to their target markets. COVID-19 has also accelerated digitalization trends, as more consumers are more savvy, the need for real estate agents to cope and be able to market online becomes more pressing.
