About This Course
This course builds on Mentoring 101: Bringing out the Best in EC educators and focuses on equipping learners with concepts and skills to mentor beginning preschool educators. Learners will develop an understanding of the needs, examine and apply the strategies for supporting the beginning preschool educators. Learners will deepen the mentoring relationships via different forms of professional conversation and collaboration; thereby, deepening the professional learning that such relationships enable.
What You'll Learn
On completion of this course, learners will be able to:
1. Examine the needs of beginning preschool educators;
2. Identify critical tasks that beginning preschool educators must know in the early childhood setting;
3. Examine the 4Cs strategies for supporting beginning preschool educators;
4. Apply GROW coaching model through effective questioning and probing skills; and
5. Apply the four types of professional conversations to determine the support for the beginning preschool educators.

Entry Requirements
1) Be ECDA-certified as L1/L2/EY1/EY2 educators or EI/LS educators deployed to the intended job roles
2) Currently employed in a childcare registered or licensed with ECDA
3) Completed Mentoring 101: Bringing out the Best in EC educators
