What You'll Learn
In order to secure IT systems and safeguard them against hackers, it is crucial that IT security professionals are able to understand and think like hackers. Penetration testing performed by ethical hackers allows organizations to discover existing vulnerabilities within their networks and information systems resulting in effective remediation preventing further damage caused by malicious hackers. The aim of this course is to introduce to participants the fundamentals of ethical hacking through the different phases of the penetration testing life cycle (reconnaissance, scanning, gaining access, maintaining access, clearing tracks). A series of network and penetration testing tools will be used to facilitate the participants’ learning process.
