Modular Certificate in Digital Video and Audio Techniques

This Certificate in Digital Video and Audio equips students with the knowledge and skills required to design , produce, and manage audio and video content for ‘live’ events which audiences can experience both in-person and virtually. Its modules cover both the creative processes and technical skills required to produce broadcast and ticketed-event quality experiences for audiences. Students acquire knowledge and skills in telling compelling visual stories for a range of event formats. A hands-on curriculum sees students tackling project briefs and generating ideas for audio and multi-camera productions in a studio setting. Students also interpret technical riders, and set up, evaluate, troubleshoot, and operate audio and multi-camera equipment. Students then put to practice the skills required to deliver quality ‘live’ events including for a range of small-scale through to medium-sized Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events (MICE) formats, and multi-band performances. Students also develop audio post-production skills for studio work such as recording, and sound design for a variety of media, including podcasts.
