Border Security Management
About This Course
This subject will discuss the emergence of the concept of border security. It will then broadly cover border control policies adopted by a country in fighting against unauthorised travel and trade across its borders, safeguarding against illegal immigration, combating transnational crime, and preventing wanted criminal from travelling. It will also elaborate on the role of international organisations in promoting standards and recommended procedures related to travel documents and border control measures. The subject will also take a closer look at how the use of technology can assist to enhance border security. Lastly, there will be an examination of the various border security measures adopted in Singapore.

Entry Requirements
Applicants need to satisfy at least one of the following minimum entry requirements:
(1) Relevant Full Time Higher Nitec qualifications with GPA > 2.0 or GPA >1.5 with a minimum of 1 year of relevant working experience for admission into PT Diploma courses.
(2) Relevant Part Time Higher Nitec qualifications with GPA > 2.0 with a minimum of 1 year of relevant working experience for admission into PT Diploma courses; or
