What You'll Learn

This module aims to educate participants on the psychosocial and nutritional needs in the population of Seniors. This module provides the tools to assess and comprehend the emotional, social, financial and cognitive dimensions of wellness in order to prevent mental conditions. Participants will gain competence in fundamental nutrition and weight management concepts to apply across various chronic diseases and common conditions associated with this age group.

Entry Requirements

a. Local Polytechnic Diploma or higher qualifications of any discipline which offer module(s) in any of the following areas:

• Allied Health
• Humanities and Social Sciences
• Sports Sciences
• Health Promotion
• Sports Coaching
• Public Health

b. Applicants with Local Polytechnic Diploma or higher qualifications but not taken any of the abovementioned academic modules e.g. Diploma in IT, may qualify for the programme with at least 2 years relevant working experience

c. Applicants do not meet the above entry requirement may be required to be further assessed through an interview and/or submission of a written essay on a given topic. Relevant experience encompasses additional related trainings, short course, workshops, or certifications obtained.
