This is a module under the Specialist Diploma in Building Information Modelling Management.

What You'll Learn

This capstone module assesses trainees’ comprehensive ability to synthesize and apply the multi-disciplinary BIM knowledge and strategic skills acquired throughout the program. Working in collaborative teams, trainees will simulate real-world industry project environments to coordinate, model, and manage a complex building project from conception through to execution planning. The project deliverables encompass a holistic range of digital delivery applications, including BIM modeling, site analysis, regulatory e-submissions, visualization, clash detection, 4D construction scheduling, and 5D cost estimation.
To drive professional-grade efficiency and accurate decision-making, trainees will actively leverage the advanced AI capabilities embedded natively within modern BIM software systems. By executing these intelligent, automated features during the project lifecycle, project teams will optimize collaborative workflows, accelerate conflict resolution, and refine data analytics. This integration ensures trainees can effectively harness embedded AI as an industrial tool to maximize project delivery standards and manage complex interdisciplinary data.

Entry Requirements

The applicant shall be a graduate of a relevant Architectural, Landscape Architectural, Civil & Structural Engineering, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering or other related diplomas, with prior BIM software knowledge, from any of the polytechnics in Singapore. Applicants with other equivalent qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

The prior BIM knowledge and skills may be attained through applicant's Graduate Diploma or equivalent qualification, in any Core or Elective Module, or through attending any BIM Basic/Fundamental short courses from any Polytechnic or recognised institution e.g. BCA Academy, etc. Applicants must provide a certification of proof for the above in their application. The prior knowledge should include either:
• Autodesk Revit or
• Graphisoft ArchiCad or
• Bentley Aecosim
