Immersive Learning (Classroom & Asynchronous)

About This Course

To introduce participants to the immersive learning in healthcare. Immersive learning allows learners to visualise complex spatial relationships and abstract concepts, to experience phenomena that is not possible in the real world, to interact with synthetic objects, and to develop important practices and literacies that cannot be experienced in other Technology Enhanced Learning environments. Whilst these new possibilities for teaching and learning are increasingly recognised by educational practitioners, learners and researchers, it is important to understand the implications of such approach, the opportunities it offers, as well as the challenges it presents. We aim to introduce participants to this exciting area and help them explore how they may apply the concepts learnt into their own teaching and learning practice.
