What You'll Learn
Within the aviation industry, the air transport sector, comprising the airline and airport sub sectors, contributes significantly to Singapore’s economy and manpower employment. In 2014, the sector value added contribution made up 1.5% of GDP. Over 60% of the workforce employed in the aviation industry work in this sector.
To support their plans of upgrading existing workers and increasing the pool of new entrants from other sectors entering the industry, CAAS approached TP to offer a part time CET Diploma in Engineering (Aviation Management). The part time diploma will be adapted from the curriculum offered in the full time diploma programme in Aviation Management & Services.
TP is recognised by the aviation industry to have the most in-depth diploma level programme on aviation management, specifically in the areas of airport and airline operations, ground handling, air cargo management, air traffic management and flight operations. Our experience and expertise gives TP the credibility and readiness to offer a part-time CET Diploma in Engineering (Aviation Management) to support MOE’s initiative for polytechnics to engage in more CET programmes and address CAAS’s need to provide a pathway for existing workers to upgrade themselves and new workers to reskill.
