Application Integration with Docker and Kubernetes
About This Course
Application Integration with Docker and Kubernetes is a hands-on course designed to equip learners with the skills to assess, containerize, and integrate applications using modern DevOps tools. Participants will gain a strong foundation in Docker, understanding the differences between virtual machines and containers, mastering essential Docker commands, building images using Dockerfiles, and managing storage and networking. The course also covers Docker Compose, enabling learners to define and manage multi-service applications through YAML configuration files. By the end of the Docker modules, learners will be able to perform application assessments, establish container-based connections, and integrate APIs and functional components efficiently using Docker containers.
Building on containerization knowledge, the course introduces Kubernetes for orchestrating and managing applications across multiple platforms. Learners will explore Kubernetes architecture and core concepts, including pods, namespaces, and deployments, before progressing to advanced topics such as services, persistent volumes, and jobs. Through practical exercises, participants will perform testing and verification of applications in clustered environments, as well as troubleshoot and upgrade Kubernetes deployments. Upon completion, learners will be capable of deploying scalable, resilient applications and maintaining production-ready container orchestration environments.
