About This Course
The Operate Vertical Personnel Platform (OVPP) Course is aimed at providing individuals with the knowledge and skills to operate vertical personnel platforms safely. At the end of the course, participants will be proficient in selection of appropriate vertical personnel platforms, conducting risk assessment and route checks, identification of hazards for
vertical personnel platform operations, basic vertical personnel platform operations and reinstating vertical personnel platforms in a safe manner.

Entry Requirements
Learners must be above 18 years of age and are assumed to:
• Have a basic knowledge of the relevant sector of work
• Be able to listen and speak English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills (ES) level 3
• Be able to read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to ES level 3
• Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES level 3; and
• Be medically fit to work at height
