About This Course
Upon completion of the programme, graduates will be able to:
Demonstrate an understanding in the concepts and technologies involved in biomedical informatics and data analytics
Analyse and interpret data to drive improvements in productivity and work processes
Apply statistical models, methods and frameworks to transform experimental and clinical data into meaningful knowledge
Apply tools and pipelines to process data in an efficient manner
Assess and troubleshoot common errors in data analysis and workflows
Apply quality control measures to maintain consistency when managing datasets
Demonstrate ethical behaviour and maintain confidentiality of biological and healthcare data

Entry Requirements
Applicants should possess at least a local diploma qualification or equivalent in Life Science, Health Sciences or Biomedical Engineering from recognised institution.
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted will have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
