About This Course

This a module under the Diploma in Infocomm & Digital Media (Cyber Security).

What You'll Learn

This module provides learners with an understanding of infocomm security concepts and issues. Learners will be able to identify the risks, threats and the vulnerabilities of the Internet and learn how to defend against security breaches by identifying effective countermeasures to be taken against identified vulnerabilities. Learners will also learn about ethical and responsibility issues through case studies of security breaches.

Entry Requirements

GCE ‘O’ Levels 3 relevant passes and 1 year relevant working experience:
Subjects/ Min. Grade:
1. English Language - 7
2. Mathematics (Elementary or Additional) - 6
3. Science - 6

FT Nitec:
GPA >= 3.5 in an engineering or information technology discipline.
GPA >= 3.0 in an engineering or information technology discipline and with at least 1 year of relevant working experience.

PT Nitec in Technology/Services:
GPA >= 3.5 in an engineering or information technology discipline and with at least 1 year of relevant working experience.

FT Higher Nitec:
Engineering or information technology discipline with GPA >=2.0
Engineering or information technology discipline with GPA >=1.5 and at least 1 year of relevant working experience

PT Higher Nitec in Technology/Services:
Engineering or information technology discipline with GPA >=2.0 and at least 1 year of relevant working experience.
