About This Course

This a module under the Diploma in Infocomm & Digital Media (Cyber Security).

What You'll Learn

This module equips learners with the basic knowledge of malware analysis to reverse-engineer the malware using practical tools and techniques. The three phases of behavioural, code and memory analysis of malware will be taught. Learners will learn how to explore and understand the key characteristics of malware, the techniques of reverse-engineering compiled Windows executables (x86) malware and methods used by malware writers to prevent the malware be disassembled.

Entry Requirements

GCE ‘O’ Levels 3 relevant passes and 1 year relevant working experience:
Subjects/ Min. Grade:
1. English Language - 7
2. Mathematics (Elementary or Additional) - 6
3. Science - 6

FT Nitec:
GPA >= 3.5 in an engineering or information technology discipline.
GPA >= 3.0 in an engineering or information technology discipline and with at least 1 year of relevant working experience.

PT Nitec in Technology/Services:
GPA >= 3.5 in an engineering or information technology discipline and with at least 1 year of relevant working experience.

FT Higher Nitec:
Engineering or information technology discipline with GPA >=2.0
Engineering or information technology discipline with GPA >=1.5 and at least 1 year of relevant working experience
