• Explain how scientific findings on learning can be translated into teaching and learning methods

What You'll Learn
This course, specifically created for educators, presents the research-based approach to studying. Learners first learn how the fundamental findings from the science of learning are translated into simple, pragmatic methods that students can use to improve their learning inside and outside of classrooms. They are provided a holistic framework that not only identifies techniques how to best learn, but even more importantly, how these techniques can be implemented in a practical manner. Learners are further provided an opportunity to reflect on how their current teaching practices support or discourage strategic learning by students. The course includes lectures, demonstrations, activities and case group discussions, culminating in an individualized written plan how to implement strategic learning in their teaching.
