About This Course
At the end of this 2-day module, participants will be able to:

• Implement sentiment analysis
• Run text classification
• Execute topic modeling
What You'll Learn
Real-world business analytics questions inherently deal with text data. The data could be sourced from customers, employee reviews, speeches and publications of organisational leaders, and articles from media outlets. In this module, participants will learn how to deal with such text data, with a particular focus on customer and employee reviews. The module will provide lessons on pre-processing text data, natural language features (e.g., tokenisation, stop words, stemming, word embeddings), and feeding features developed from text mining into modeling processes. Participants will run sentiment analysis and execute unsupervised learning on text data with topic modeling to discover hidden clusters within them.
Entry Requirements
Participants should have some knowledge or experience in Python programming (equivalent to that attained in SMU Academy's Professional Certificate in Python Programming programme).
