About This Course

To ensure that the operating staff of the dormitories (managers and executives) are competent with the knowledge and skills required to comply with the FEDA Act.

What You'll Learn

The Foreign Employee Dormitories (FEDA) Act 2015 is an Act to provide for the regulation of operators of dormitories for foreign employees and for matters connected with or incidental to that. The purpose of the Act is to provide a regulatory framework for the provision of facilities and amenities, and the delivery of services, to the foreign employees residing in the dormitories. The latest amendment of the Act was in effect from the 31 December 2021, with the upcoming amendment due in Q3 of 2022.

To ensure that the operating staff of the dormitories (managers and executives) are competent with the knowledge and skills required to comply with the FEDA Act, the representatives of the dormitories, the Dormitories Association of Singapore Limited (DASL) worked closely with the Ministry of Manpower, along with the dormitory operators of Singapore, to propose a formal training approach to assess learners’ knowledge and skills to comply with the FEDA Act.
