What You'll Learn
Over time, design has become a formidable force in the business world. Public companies with a strong emphasis on design has been outperforming the S&P 500. Airbnb, Apple and IBM are companies with different growth profiles, but all of them celebrate design as a crucial part of their strategy and culture. The Big 3 management consulting firms (Bain, BCG, McKinsey) all offer design services. The rising awareness and application of Design Thinking reflects the value of design in delivering creative and meaningful solutions within business and engineering constraints.
Design Thinking (DT) enables participants to tap into a human-centred approach to problems and deliver solutions based on iterative prototyping and testing. Through Design Thinking, participants learn to frame and reframe challenges by empathising with users and understanding their needs. With an in-depth knowledge of their user, participants can then realise opportunities progressively through increasing fidelity by consistently engaging with their users during solution development.
