About This Course

This is a module under the Advanced Diploma in Process Control & Instrumentation.

What You'll Learn

This module aims to provide a thorough understanding of the fundamentals of control engineering and applications. Topics include mathematical modelling, transient analysis, error analysis and introduction to system optimization, stability analysis, s-plane analysis, frequency response analysis and compensation techniques. Basic control actions and industrial automatic controllers as well as advanced control techniques.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must possess a relevant engineering Polytechnic Diploma in electrical, electronics, mechanical, mechatronics, control, automation, energy systems, info-com, computer or chemical from recognised institution or an equivalent qualification. Preference will be given to those with relevant working experience.

Recognition of Prior Learning
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted may have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
