What You'll Learn

This module provides students with comprehensive coverage in the area of instrumentation and measurement systems, with an emphasis on computer-based modern instrumentation systems. The module will touch on the traditional areas of instrumentation like sensors and transducers, controllers and control valves, signal conditioning and recorders. In addition, it will cover some developments in the internet-of-things (IoT) as a system of entities that exchange information and interact with the physical world by sensing, processing information, and activating.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must possess a relevant engineering Polytechnic Diploma in electrical, electronics, mechanical, mechatronics, control, automation, energy systems, info-com, computer or chemical from recognised institution or an equivalent qualification. Preference will be given to those with relevant working experience.

Recognition of Prior Learning
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted may have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
