Many of the existing MS Word users either learn on the job through asking for advice and assistance when they faced difficulties in proceeding further on a task or being exposed to a new task requirement when being faced with a novel situation. What they have learned may not be sufficient to work competently in a highly demanding office environment where one has to be equipped with the requisite word documentation skills. Their repertoire of skills is incomplete and learning tend to be accidental.
The performance gaps that this course aims to address are:
a) Unable to create a document using a word processing application
b) Unfamiliar with formatting content
c) Lack the skills as in a word processing application to perform mass mailing
d) Not conversant with the formatting of a document
The performance gaps were identified based on a survey with many of the learners from the companies who enquired for courses.
