Internet of Things - Part of Modular Certificate in Analytics & Internet of Things (DEEC1)
About This Course
1. Explain the fundamental concepts of IoT architecture
2. Understand the building blocks for each stage of designing an IoT system
3. Evaluate the design options for the design and deploying an IoT system
4. Apply fundamental technical knowledge and skills to build a simple IoT system
What You'll Learn
Key topics will include high-performance embedded systems, sensory devices (such as GPS, accelerometer), and wireless sensor networks. Student will also be introduced to network commonly used in IoT application as well as cloud computing. Students will be able to design an IoT system, taking into environment consideration a requirement when deploy one such system.
The assessment modes are continuous assessments consisting of a final test, tutorial quiz questions, project problem solving, topic research & presentation, and laboratory exercises & tests.
