About This Course
By the end of the course, participants should be able to:
• Develop an understanding of the sources and impacts of greenhouse gases (GHGs) in the atmosphere.
• Learn about metrics used to measure GHG emissions and how to use them to calculate Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions from various sources.
• Specify organizational and operational boundaries for the scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions
• Create strategies to manage, monitor, and report on the organization’s carbon emissions.
• Analyze the factors that influence an organization’s carbon footprint and create cost-effective strategies to reduce emissions
What You'll Learn
Companies’ operating margins and strategic business directions will be affected as the carbon tax in Singapore is set to increase gradually to $50-$80 per kiloton of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) by 2030.
Are you aware of how much Greenhouse Gas (GHG) your organisation is emitting? Can you come up with mitigation methods to reduce GHG emissions?
The Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol) Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard provides requirements and guidance for companies preparing a corporate-level GHG emissions inventory.
This workshop will be conducted in different phases and includes:
• Phase 1: Participants will learn how to adopt the GHG Protocol Standard to be able to measure and account for the various scopes of carbon emissions in your organisation and support environmental sustainability. Upon completion, participants will have a better understanding of the sources of GHG based on the organisational and operational boundaries of your company, and come up with strategies to manage, monitor, and report on the organisation’s carbon emissions.
• Phase 2: Implement a project at the company’s premises, facilitated by RP trainers, for the company to reduce their carbon footprint.
After goCMP, program participants can look forward to sustaining this capability with more Microsoft Office 365 and/or Google Workspace applications to automate information flow, use of no-code apps and streamlining processes.
