About This Course
Learners will have the skills and knowledge in applying workplace safety and health practices to ensure the safety of oneself and others at work in the Oil and Petrochemical industry.
What You'll Learn
Apply Workplace Safety and Health in Process Plant is a mandatory WSH training course for all workers working in the oil and petrol-chemical industry. Workers working in the oil and petrol chemical industry are required to go through the AWSHPP before they start work at the worksite. The Workplace Safety and Health (Factories, Safety Training Courses order – clause 2 (6)) stipulates that “Any worker who is carrying our work in a factory of the oil and petrol chemical industry must undergo a safety and health training course approved by the Commissioner for Workplace Safety and Health.”
Entry Requirements
Learners must be above 18 years of age and are assumed to:
-Have a basic knowledge of the relevant sector of work
-Be able to listen and speak English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills (ES) level 2
-Be able to read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to ES level 2
-Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES level 2; and
-Be medically fit.
