About This Course

Mobile robots are a class of robots having the capability to move around in their environment, not fixed to any particular physical location. Mobile robots can be autonomous, meaning they are capable of navigating in uncontrolled environment without the need for physical or electro-mechanical guidance devices. On the other hand, other types of mobile robots can rely on guidance devices that allow them to travel in pre-defined navigation route in relatively controlled space.

What You'll Learn

Mobile robots are becoming more prevalent in consumer, commercial and industrial settings such as in healthcare, warehousing facilities for example. Increasing, these robots will work side by side with their human counterparts leading to a less labour intensive and more productive work environment.

This course focuses on the basics of embedded control systems, sensors integration achieving autonomous robot mobility in relatively controlled space.
