Part-time Diploma in Software Engineering
About This Course
The objective of the proposed Joint-polytechnic part-time diploma is to develop competent and skilled manpower in support of the ICT sector in the area of software engineering. The polytechnic who is partnering with RP for this programme is Singapore Polytechnic (SP).
Upon completion of the programme, graduates can satisfy job roles as articulated
in the ICT SkillsFramework Software and applications domain:
• (Associate) Software Engineer
• DevOps Engineers
• (Associate) UI Designer.
What You'll Learn
Entry Requirements
O Levels
At least three (3) ‘O’ Level passes in the following subjects:
o English Language (EL1 or EL2) Grade 1 – 7
o Any Science subject Grade 1 – 6
o Any one (1) relevant subject subject Grade 1 – 6 *
And at least one (1) year relevant work experience
NITEC
• GPA ≥ 3.5
OR
• GPA ≥ 3.0 AND at least one (1) year relevant work experience
Higher NITEC
• GPA ≥ 2.0
OR
• GPA ≥ 1.5 AND at least one (1) year relevant work experience
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least two (2) years of relevant working
experience
* Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) (Level ≥ 6) may be accepted as equiv
alent GCE ‘O’ Level English Language and Mathematics requirements.
