The Front-End Development module aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills to develop effective web applications using HTML and CSS, and applying design principles and aesthetic guidelines for a good user experience. Students will also learn to use front-end web development frameworks to further enhance their ability for rapid prototyping responsive web applications. The module covers principles of effective web design, cross-browser compatibility, responsive web design.
Entry Requirements
O Levels
At least three (3) ‘O’ Level passes in the following subjects:
o English Language (EL1 or EL2) Grade 1 – 7
o Any Science subject Grade 1 – 6
o Any one (1) relevant subject subject Grade 1 – 6 *
And at least one (1) year relevant work experience
NITEC
• GPA ≥ 3.5
OR
• GPA ≥ 3.0 AND at least one (1) year relevant work experience
Higher NITEC
• GPA ≥ 2.0
OR
• GPA ≥ 1.5 AND at least one (1) year relevant work experience
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least two (2) years of relevant working
experience
* Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) (Level ≥ 6) may be accepted as equiv
alent GCE ‘O’ Level English Language and Mathematics requirements.
