About This Course

This short course aims to deepen leaders’ awareness of the importance of relationship for effective leadership. The Core Theory of Success (Kim, 1997) and the 5 levels of Leadership (Maxwell 2016) and examples of how these theories are used, will be discussed to illustrate the importance of relationship.

The skill segment of this course focuses on the concept of personal mastery, a continual process of self-learning and reflexivity, leveraging on Covey’s Seven Habits of Leadership and E. Schein’s Humble Inquiry.

Participants will apply these theories and skills to authentic cases from their own centres and reflect on their own mindsets, the structures and processes that they have put in place at their centres, their leadership practices, to arrive at fresh perspectives on their encounters with colleagues and parents. Participants will also discuss cases that will allow them to apply the theories and skills taught in this course.
