PWM-Security: Deterrence (Manage Disorderly Conduct & Threatening Behavior)
About This Course
This course is only for the low wage workers in the PWM-Security Sector.
On successful completion of this course, participants will acquire the essential knowledge and application skills to perform or manage disorderly conduct and threatening behaviors for different levels of authorized entries and services to ensure the security guarded facilities and eliminate prevailing security threats.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
The learning outcomes for each of the learning units in Berjaya’s Deterrence courses:
Learning Unit 1: Preparing for work activities
LO1: Learners would be able to prepare and clarify details of their work assignment and what is required to perform security services.
Learning Unit 2: Deter threatening behavior through visible security presence
LO2: Learners would be able to establish a visible security presence as a deterrent against threatening behavior, covering crisis response, communication, and ethical considerations.
Learning Unit 3: Deal with disorderly/threatening behavior
LO3: Learners will be able to handle disorderly/threatening behavior effectively, covering de-escalation, conflict resolution, legal considerations, and empathy through practical scenarios.

Entry Requirements
This course is designed primarily for the training of security personnel performing the role of a licensed security officer or auxiliary police officer.

Participants are assumed to be able to:
• Be able to read, write and speak English at WSQ WPL Level 4
• Manipulate numbers at WPN Level 4
• Act in a professional manner
• Observe confidentiality
• Be truthful and honest

• Be disciplined and able to follow instructions when given
