What You'll Learn
Sport Singapore (SportSG) aims to transform the nation through sport, by inspiring people and uniting communities. As the national sports agency, we work with a vast network of public-private-and people sector partners to create access, opportunities and capabilities for individuals to live better through safe sports. It is therefore important that the community enjoy safe sporting environments and experiences. Today, litigation is on the increase and this course will enable learners to recognise potential risks, health and safety issues. It is equally important that learners understand the Workplace Safety and Health Act and Code of Practice on Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Risk Management which underpins many sporting environments, from organising major sporting events within stadiums to organising small potted coaching sessions and outdoor activities. The assessment is planned for learners who are sports facilities owners, operators, management team and managing agents, event organizers, sports safety personnel, Risk Management champions, sports volunteers, athletes/sports participants, and their parents.
