AI for IT Security Professionals
About This Course
AI for IT Security Professionals equips participants with practical skills to apply artificial intelligence across security monitoring, threat detection, vulnerability analysis, and incident response. The course explores how AI can analyze large volumes of security data, identify suspicious behaviour, detect potential threats, and support faster and more informed security decisions.
Participants will learn to use AI-assisted workflows to examine system and network logs, identify indicators of compromise, assess security vulnerabilities, summarize threat intelligence, and recommend remediation actions. The course also covers identity and access security, network protection, data security, security controls, risk prioritization, and automation of repetitive security operations.
Through hands-on scenarios, learners will use AI to investigate incidents, generate security reports, develop response plans, and evaluate the effectiveness of security measures. Emphasis is placed on validating AI-generated findings, reducing false positives, protecting confidential information, and maintaining human oversight. Participants will also examine AI-related risks, including prompt injection, adversarial attacks, data leakage, and AI-generated cyber threats. By the end of the course, learners will be able to use AI responsibly to strengthen organizational security and improve cyber resilience.
