About This Course

The subject provides an introduction to audio fundamentals and audio recording focusing on the location sound environment.

What You'll Learn

The subject will examine the area of basic audio field recording techniques, location sound equipment familiarisation and setup, the recording process, and location microphone techniques.

Entry Requirements

Any one of the following:
• Minimum of 3 ‘O’ Level passes and 1 year of relevant working experience, OR
• NITEC with GPA ≥ 3.5 OR GPA ≥ 3.0 and 1 year of relevant working experience, OR
• Higher NITEC ≥ 2.0 OR GPA ≥ 1.5 and 1 year of relevant working experience, OR
• NITEC in Services/Technology with GPA ≥ 3.5 and 1 year of relevant working experience, OR
• Higher NITEC in Services/Technology ≥ 2.0 and 1 year of relevant working experience, OR
• Relevant WSQ qualification with 1 year of relevant work experience and WSQ Workplace Literacy and Numeracy SOA (Level 6), OR
• Without relevant academic qualifications with at least 2 years of relevant working experience.
