[SFGW-SR] Greenhouse Gases (GHG) Emissions: Measurement and Management (Classroom and Asynchronous e-learning)
About This Course
This course forms part of a stackable learning pathway under NTU’s FlexiMasters in Sustainability Business Ecosystems programme. It covers the following topics from ACRA’s Sustainability Reporting Body of Knowledge (SR BOK):
Topic 4 – Application of Greenhouse Gases (GHG) Protocol
4.1 - Application of the GHG Protocol to report greenhouse gas emissions – Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions
4.2 - Application of GHG Protocol – Scope 3 GHG emissions
This course equips learners with practical knowledge of greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting, carbon measurement and emissions management based on internationally recognised standards. The course covers Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, GHG inventory development, carbon reporting, sustainability assurance and decarbonisation strategies. Learners will develop competencies in measuring organisational emissions, setting science-based targets, supporting climate transition plans and meeting sustainability disclosure requirements. These skills enable learners to manage climate risks, improve reporting accuracy and advance net-zero goals. Relevant across manufacturing, energy, transport, real estate, finance and consulting sectors, the course prepares professionals for roles in carbon accounting, environmental management, climate risk and decarbonisation.
As this micro-credential course is only offered in the FlexiMasters in Sustainability Business Ecosystems programme, learners are required to enrol into the programme and complete all required courses within this programme.
What You'll Learn
