About This Course
This module aims is to provide students the understand the basic principles of mechanical refrigeration and basic refrigeration equipment for commercial air-conditioning system. They will also learn how to analyse AHU cooling and heating processes by applying psychometric principals, calculation on the chiller efficiency and perform chiller sizing base on IPLV, NPLV and Singapore standards as well as determine ducting system characteristic curve and apply fan curve and affinity laws for fan sizing. Besides that, they will use the application of IAQ standards for the proper design of HVAC systems and appreciate fundamentals of HVAC control principals and methods.
