About This Course
This module covers the basic principles of veterinary pharmacology, pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics (absorption, distribution, metabolism, and elimination), the major drug classes and associated mechanism of action, side effects, indications and contraindications, basic anaesthesiology, and an introduction to toxicology. Students will have the opportunity to practice techniques for the administration of medication, as well as perform drug calculations.
