Theory and Behaviour Norms in Healthcare (Part of SCTP)
About This Course
This course introduces participants to key behavioural theories and frameworks that inform how individuals and groups make decisions within healthcare settings. Participants will explore foundational models such as the Behaviour Change Wheel, Transtheoretical Model, Program Theory, Logic Model, and the distinctions between Theory of Change and Logic Model. The course also examines the role of social norms in shaping behaviour and guides learners through the process of designing, implementing, and evaluating behaviour‑change interventions. In addition, participants will be introduced to evidence‑based practice in healthcare, gaining insight into how theory, data, and real‑world context come together to support effective change. Through these concepts, learners will develop a structured understanding of how behavioural insights can improve health outcomes and strengthen healthcare delivery.
This course is part of the 3‑month (SCTP) Certificate in Healthcare Administration.
