About This Course
The programme provides an understanding of the principles of negotiation through a highly engaging mix of theory and class exercises, building on the “5-6-7 Negotiation Framework”: 5 methods of persuasion, 6 phases of a negotiation process and 7 negotiation tactics.
Negotiations are at the core of every business relationship (and not only!). Senior leaders will learn – or refresh their memories on – how to get the most out of an agreement by deciding whether to compete or to cooperate with the other party, which ploys and tactics to use and when it’s time give or to walk away.

• Understand the key methods and how to use them to persuade others to your point of view
• Identify our preferred styles – individually and as an organisation
• Identify the key phases in any negotiation and apply them in real world situations
• Understand and apply key tactics and identify when they are being used on you
Entry Requirements
Open to all unemployed or employed Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents who are looking for training opportunities to transit to a new sector or job role. Applicants must be committed to completing training and passing assessments.
Applicants should:
- Possess a positive attitude and apply the new skill they have gained back in their workplace
- Have at least 3 years of working experience in relevant roles
- Have obtained a diploma and above academic qualification
- Be able to operate a computer or laptop to perform basic tasks
- Applicants who do not meet these recommended requirements may be considered on a case-by-case basis
