Generative AI for Data Analysis and Insights (Classroom/Synchronous & Asynchronous e-learning)
About This Course
This is an intermediate-level course for professionals who are already working with data (e.g. spreadsheets, dashboards, reports), to be introduced to Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts and commonly available Large Language Models (LLMs) and image generation models. The course is designed to equip learners with the knowledge and skills to integrate Generative AI into their daily work, particularly in data analysis, summarisation, insight generation and reporting. The course includes hands-on exposure to AI tools from providers such as Google and Microsoft, or equivalent alternatives where relevant, to support common data-related tasks and workflows.
What You'll Learn
Differentiate different levels of AI and their applications, including generative AI in data-related contexts.
Describe different generative models used for text and image generation and how they support data workflows.
Craft effective prompts to analyze, summarize, and communicate data insights using generative AI tools.
Apply ethical considerations and responsible AI principles when using generative AI tools for data-related tasks.
Entry Requirements
No prior programming experience required.
Learners are expected to have:
• Basic computer literacy
• Basic understanding of data and analytics concepts
• Familiarity with spreadsheets, dashboards, or reports
Learners are required to bring their own laptop for the hands-on activities conducted during the course.
