About This Course
The programme aims to provide a more focused training in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) for those aspiring to seek a career in safety.
What You'll Learn
This WSH programme is unique in that students are grounded in human factors fundamentals and principles in the lower-level courses and then focus on the workplace safety, health and environmental issues in the higher-level courses. The programme equips students with the skills and knowledge of evaluating and controlling hazards, and developing strategic initiatives to create a safer and healthier workplace, through a better appreciation of human physical, biological and cognitive strengths and limitations.
Students can pair this WSH major with one of the minors offered in SUSS, making it flexible for students to craft out a degree programme that best suits their needs according to the role they desire to take on as WSH professionals.
The programme is recognised by Singapore Ministry of Manpower for WSH Officer registration. Our BSc Workplace Safety and Health programme just obtained the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) accreditation.
