About This Course
This module is part of the Post-Diploma Certificate (PDC) in Supply Chain Operations (Specialist Diploma in Supply Chain Management).
What You'll Learn
This module equips students with the knowledge of domestic transportation and distribution operations, the fundamentals of efficient transportation systems, transportation costing, and traffic management. Internet of Things (IoT) platforms used in transport operations such as “track and trace” technologies and route optimiser will also be taught.
By the end of the module, participants should be able to:
• Explain the key considerations for the distribution network design and its importance in transportation operations.
• Explain the main routing techniques and technologies used by the industry to improve the distribution operations.
• Apply the appropriate types of packaging materials and procedures according to industry requirements.

Entry Requirements
Applicants should possess a local Diploma, ITE Technical Diploma / Technical Engineer Diploma / Work-Study Technical Diploma, or Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or Science from recognised institutions.
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least five years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted will have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
