About This Course
This 3-days professional development workshop comprises 2-days for educators on the STEMIE 7-step invention process and 1-day on developing entrepreneurial spirit in innovation. STEMIE professional development is an intensive, hands-on interactive workshop. It teaches the STEM+Invention+Entrepreneurship (STEMIE) framework which recognizes STEM ((Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) core subject matter skills in combination with invention and entrepreneurship learning. Participants engage in hands-on activities to utilise simple STEM concepts individually as well as in groups to become confident trainers and implementers with their students.

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Connect STEM foundational skills with invention to develop a strong problem solving mindset.
- Apply the 7 steps of STEMIE invention processes.
- Teach and engage Pre-U school learners of diverse abilities through use of localised STEMIE curriculum
- Learn how to advise students to protect their Intellectual properties.
- Develop an entrepreneurial mindset during the innovation journey.
