About This Course
The course aims to empower trainees with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to leverage additive manufacturing technologies effectively in industrial settings, driving innovation, efficiency, and competitiveness within the organizations
What You'll Learn
The course objectives are designed to equip trainees with the practical knowledge, skills, and insights necessary to implement and scale AM technologies within industrial production environments effectively. Here are the key objectives:
1. Understanding of ISO and ASTM Standards: Trainees will gain a thorough understanding of ISO and ASTM standards related to additive manufacturing, including those governing feedstock selection, qualification, processing, and post-processing. They will learn how to ensure compliance with industry standards to maintain quality and consistency in AM production.
2. Developing AM Material Expertise: Trainees will gain in-depth knowledge of material properties, allowable materials, and material property suites for AM qualification.
3. Mastering the IQ/OQ/PQ Process: Trainees will become proficient in AM processing techniques, including powder bed fusion, directed energy deposition, material extrusion, vat photopolymerisation, and binder jetting. They will learn to choose the most appropriate AM process for specific applications and optimise process parameters to achieve desired outcomes.
4. Understanding NDE for AM: Trainees will learn about non-destructive evaluation (NDE) techniques used to inspect AM parts for defects.
5. Industry Trends and Best Practices: Trainees will stay abreast of current industry trends in additive manufacturing, including customisation, mass personalisation, and agile manufacturing. They will learn about best practices for managing AM production lines effectively and optimising workflows to meet evolving industry demands.
6. Gaining Qualification Testing Expertise: Trainees will develop the skills to conduct and interpret qualification testing for AM parts.
Overall, the course aims to empower trainees with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to leverage additive manufacturing technologies effectively in industrial settings, driving innovation, efficiency, and competitiveness within the organizations
